No more delay.... April 23, 2012

What a beautiful week to be a missionary in Austin! Sorry about the lack of updates.. We are loving on the gorgeous weather here and the work is wonderful! Sister Alfaro and I will be here in McNeil for another transfer and we are excited because of the wonderful miracles that are happening right now! John, one of our investigators is doing amazingly! We had great lessons with him this week and he has just eaten it all up, one night we talked about praying specifically to know that all of this is true since he has been very accepting of everything so far and as we discussed prayer and read some scriptures he came to his own conclusion that that is something he needs to do, without us even inviting him to do so! His member friendship is great and they have been so helpful in coming with us. The whole ward is great about that and it makes so much difference in our teaching, such a blessing. One of the many reasons I love this ward! This week we also got to have one of our investigator families at a dinner with a member and it went so well! They have lots of obstacles mainly grandma's deep catholic roots influencing the children but the power of the gospel is so strong, with time Heavenly Father can do amazing things. We also were able to meet with Dru, one of the most adorable ten year old little boys. He was baptized in December and we have been meeting with him and his dad for "Jesus time" as he calls it. Dru is learning so much and made the best connection as we were reading how Christ is like Santa Clause, always watching you and being there. I truly love how children learn and love the simple gospel truths it is simply beautiful! Things are also going well for Lety and her family, she is the woman we met as we helped them move into their new apartment. She told us how anything that could have beautiful young girls out here teaching the word of God rather than other things must be something worth while and she wants to know what it is. The lesson we had was so great, there was a moment as I read one of my all time favorite verses Mosiah 2:41, as I testified of the true and complete happiness that can come from the gospel and from our Savior Jesus Christ's example the spirit was so strong and my knowledge of the truth was strengthened. I love this work, it is beautiful and truly JOYFUL! Happiness is priceless!
