All about this missionary
Ultimately the decision to serve a mission was an easy one. Growing up I always had the desire to serve. Watching the way the gospel changed my parent's life as well as mine, I knew I would love to be a part in bringing that knowledge to other people. Another resounding influence came from one of my roommates who was preparing for her own mission. Watching and studying with her while she prepared, my love for the work and this gospel grew. My decision to serve a mission remained a simple idea until one sacrament meeting in my singles ward. While listening I had an overwhelming feeling that a mission was the right decision for me at this point in my life. Though I tried to dismiss it, I could not shake the feeling that this is what I was truly meant to do. I sat on the decision with prayer and fasting until I decided to inquire about the steps necessary to become a sister missionary. I started my papers as soon as I could and through the process my confirmation grew. Although I encountered many doubts and fears, the Lord blessed me with peace and hope in my decision. The day finally came when I received my call and through more divine confirmation I know that I meant to serve the people of San Antonio. I am so excited and privileged to be able to do the Lord's great work. This gospel has changed my life and I want it to be able to do the same for the people in Texas. I know that the next 18 months will be a sacrifice of joy and hardship but I see it as only a small token of my immense appreciation for my Savior and Father in Heaven. I love this gospel and I love my savior. I am STOKED!!
