Week 6

Well it's been a FANTASTIC week! Heavenly Father blessed us immensley this week with wonderful people to talk to and teach! After such a slow week last week it was a true blessing from Him! Friday we had set a pretty high goal for people to find while out knocking, which can be really hard but Heavenly Father made me smile and so humbled when he allowed us to not only reach our goal but right after we hit it the next house we walked to had a few young men outside, we started talking to them and as we did about 4 others just showed up and we were able to talk to them all, he even added a beautiful sunset and wonderful weather to it to make it that much more perfect! We taught some of them last night, they soaked it up and it was awesome! God truly has prepared the hearts of those I am meant to teach and it is an adventure getting to find them and teach them! One of our investigators, Cody, finally prayed at the end of our lesson with him this week which was such a neat thing to see! The spirit was so strong in that lesson, we did a fun "companion exchange" with the elders and just had them come to our lesson with us, with all of us sharing and testifying it was so great! Another family we have been trying to meet with since I got here finally were able to have a lesson and it went fabulously! They are so ready for the gospel, Mary the mom already knows it is true she just said that she needed us to give her the motivation to do it! The family came to a ward activity and all of the children were so excited! Mary has three foster kids who are all siblings of her one son's girlfriend who is living with them also as they raise their little boy. It's a crazy situation and Mary is an amazing woman! I appreciate so much the blessings this gospel bring me in my life! I have been so happy this whole week! General Conference is coming up and I am so giddy about it! I hope all of you are preparing! It's a big deal that there is a prophet on the earth today to speak in behalf of Christ himself! That is what we have that other churches don't modern revelation and the power and authority of God! So cool! This week on top of falling even more in love with this work I have truly come to love the ward that I am in! They are my new family for the next little while and now that i have been here for a bit I am getting to know them and they are just so great! I truly wish I could explain the joy that this work can bring! Missionary work is so important! This gospel is so amazing! Keep being amazing! I love you all!!
